Scholarship Description

The Heart Foundation is offering two levels of Future Leader Fellowships for PhD graduates 3-10 years post-PhD. These fellowships provide a generous salary and project funding to cardiovascular researchers.

The Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellowship supports the best and brightest cardiovascular researchers as they build their research capacity and become leaders of research groups.

The National Heart Foundation of Australia (known as the Heart Foundation) is a charity established in 1959. Its stated vision is for Australians to have the best cardiovascular health in the world and its mission is to reduce suffering and death from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease in Australia.

Eligibility

Entrance Requirements:
Level 1 Fellowships: Must be 3–7 years post awarding of their PhD on the application closing date. Be involved in any area of cardiovascular health research including biomedical, clinical, public health and health service delivery.
Level 2 Fellowships: Must be 7–10 years post awarding of their PhD on the application closing date. Be involved in any area of cardiovascular health research including biomedical, clinical, public health and health service delivery.
